Industrial Timber was launched with an entrepreneurial spirit that defines us to this day. Every manager and leader who has joined IT since our founding has added the ideas and processes which enable our ability to serve our customers.
Mike is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Industrial Timber. After graduating from Millersville University, Mike went to work for Universal Forest Products [NasdaqGS: UFPI] in Salisbury, NC where in just his fifth year with the company he was recognized and awarded company-wide sales person of the year out of over 300 sales reps across the United States. Mike left UFP in 1998 and took a corporate purchasing job with Carris Reels. In October, 1999, he founded Industrial Timber, initially as a wood wholesaler, and has spearheaded the company’s growth ever since.
Todd brings 20 years experience of embracing innovative techniques and methodologies and employing them into manufacturing. He began his career at Pneumafi Corporation as a Senior Buyer/Production Planner and also worked at Britax Child Safety as a Procurement Manager significantly growing sales there. Todd joined IT in 2006 and spearheaded our proprietary production management software system development and implementation and reduced labor costs by 25% at the Taylorville plant. He has also pitched in as an interim CFO/controller and helped establish our system of measuring and benchmarking key metrics throughout the organization.
David joins Industrial Timber with 10 years of experience in the furniture manufacturing industry. He recently served as Director of Continuous Improvement for Jackson Furniture Industries. In this role, he helped to grow the company, opening multiple facilities, and increased efficiencies across all areas of production by establishing best practices. As a long time customer of Industrial Timber, David brings a unique perspective to the executive team.
Ralph brings over 35 years industry experience to Industrial Timber. Beginning his career at Schwieger Industries in Jefferson, WI as a Product Technician, Ralph continued to advance through various supervisory and management positions. He joined Industrial Timber in 2006 with a full spectrum industry portfolio and was highly instrumental in the launch of our Saltillo plant.
Rita joins Industrial Timber with over 17 years’ experience in inside sales and marketing. She is a veteran of creating and managing sales and marketing strategies designed to increase sales and implement unique and profitable promotions. Prior to IT, Rita spent over 10 years in sales and marketing at Bull’s Eye, where she engaged in strategic planning, promotions, marketing and sales strategy, and project management on major brands, including Clorox, Hoffmaster, and WNA. Rita thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach.
Matthew joined IT with more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience across multiple disciplines in Manufacturing & Logistics (primarily Safety, Change Management & Operations) with large organizations such as Wal-Mart, The Gibraltar Company, and Harris Teeter. As Safety Director, Matthew educates, empowers and engages employees in safe practices across all organizational levels. He manages both the external and internal Safety brands of the organization, building confidence in our business partners and customers, while also building confidence in our employees, who are the lifeblood of our operation.

Mitch brings over 25 years of industry experience beginning his career in 1991 as the Vice President of Manufacturing with Benchcraft Furniture. After leaving Benchcraft he became an entrepreneur in the upholstered furniture industry and founded his own company. Mitch joined Industrial Timber in July 2007 and has managed the company’s Ripley plant for the past eight years where he has demonstrated loyalty, leadership and has maintained the company’s focus serving customers and driving sales. Mitch graduated from MS State University with a four-year degree in Industrial Engineering.
Jeremy started his career as a Shipping Supervisor at R&R Lumber in Houlka, MS and continued his career with Main Street Forest Products, Maben, MS, as a Plant Supervisor. In 2013 he became Production Manager under Ralph Riggs and, in 2016, Jeremy was promoted to Plant Manager at our Shannon facility.
